Restaurant ownership has long been a dream for Hearth and Hill co-owner Brooks Kercheimer, and Park City helped make it a reality. A California native, Brooks earned a degree in Restaurant and Hotel Management from the University of Denver before launching his career at Montage Hotels in Beverly Hills and Deer Valley. He later revitalized Main Street’s landmark Zoom restaurant before moving to Maui, where he served as Assistant General Manager at renowned restaurateur Peter Merriman’s oceanside restaurant. Brooks, his wife Catherine, their children, and their dog now call Park City home.

Born and raised in St. Joe, Indiana (population 423), Elizabeth’s passion for hospitality derived from her grandparents, whose farm taught her the value of supporting local producers. During college, she worked as a traveling trainer for a national restaurant group and spent summers in northern Michigan. In 2016, she moved to Hawai’i, beginning an 8-year career with legendary Chef Peter Merriman’s eponymous restaurant, where she rose from cocktail server to General Manager. It was at Merriman’s Kapalua in Maui where she met then-manager Brooks Kirchheimer. Elizabeth’s impressive hospitality journey has brought her to Utah, to open Hearth and Hill Sugar House—and to experience snow again!

Born and raised in Los Angeles, Jeff’s passion for food and hospitality was shaped by his family’s 107-year grocery business. He learned early the importance of building relationships with employees, customers, and purveyors. His love for big wave surfing and adventure led him to the North Shore of Oahu and the University of Hawaii, where he first explored the restaurant industry. After a decade of cooking and skiing in Alta, Utah, Jeff moved back to Southern California, working with top chefs across various culinary settings. With a growing family and a love of skiing, he eventually returned to Utah, where he now excels as Executive Chef for Hearth and Hill.
