Position Overview

Position Overview

Bartenders will provide the highest quality guest experience through friendly knowledgable service; will guide diners through their meal, anticipating needs, making the guest feel comfortable and welcome; will be passionate about food and beverage and will be friendly outgoing and able to read a table. Bartenders will also be creative and innovative with input for new menus.

Assistant General Manager

Position Overview:

Provide the highest quality guest experience through friendly knowledgable service. Assist the General Manager with all aspects of restaurant operations including food, beverage and guest service activities. Perform all aspects of General Manager duties upon his/her absence. Responsible for performing all duties of all other positions when necessary.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Present professionalism at all times in manor an appearance
  • Assist GM with management and execution of all personal matters including hiring, training, and feedback
  • Recruit, interview and train new associates
  • Collaborate with GM to develop training plans and new-hire packets
  • Ensure all new associates complete new-hire training before their first solo shift
  • Collaborate with GM to develop and facilitate opportunities for continuous improvement for all associates through education and training
  • Assist in proper implementation and execution of Hearth and Hill’s commitment through service and marketing
  • Collaborate with GM to learn and develop overall knowledge of hospitality industry, branding, marketing, employment and business practices
  • Assist with coordination of inspections, maintenance and organization of Hearth and Hill
  • Assist with business planning and support financial goals and strategies in day to day management in relation to budgeting
  • Collaborate with GM to develop beverage program including pricing purchasing, inventory, budgeting, and financial management
  • Collaborate with GM to ensure accountability of HH service standards on a daily bases
  • Assure HH is in compliance with health department, UDABC, and any other licensing regulations
  • Assist in managing inventory and purchasing small wares
  • Collaborate with leadership team for budgeting including but not limited to monthly reviews of P&L
  • Assist with vendor relations

CREDENTIALS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Possess a High School Diploma
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Minimum 5 years restaurant experience preferred
  • Minimum 3 years management experience preferred
  • Be competent using multiple computer programs and websites including but not limited to; scheduling software, reservation systems, pos systems and excel
  • Possess math skills and have the ability to handle and manage money
  • Knowledge of relevant health & safety regulations & procedures
  • Food handlers & beverage service permits

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to bend, lift, push & carry heavy objects
  • Ability to carry 50 pounds
